Plans & credits
The core of Olace is free: running models on your own devices, and reaching them from your paired devices, is never metered. The free plan is called Local: everything that runs on your hardware, free, forever. Cloud usage exists only for the cloud, where Olace pays providers on your behalf. Current prices live on the pricing page.
What is always free
- Local AI on your computer, with no account at all if you like.
- Paired AI between your devices, on every plan, from anywhere and not just your home network, over an end to end encrypted connection.
- Chat on your own API keys (BYOK), on every plan, including Local.
Cloud usage
Cloud features draw from one cloud usage allowance. Each turn costs what Olace actually pays the providers for it: the cloud model, the web searches, the image. The app shows one bar with how much of your allowance is used and when it resets, and nothing else to keep track of.
Cloud models are grouped into three classes. A class decides whether your plan includes chat on it: Everyday chat is unlimited on Pro and Founders Lifetime. When a new open-weight model launches, it joins a class.

What draws on your cloud usage:
- Cloud models, except Everyday chat on Pro and Founders Lifetime.
- Image generation.
- Research on a cloud model, on every plan.
- Research on your own models, on Local and Plus. On Pro and Founders Lifetime it is included. Your computer does the thinking, so only the web searches Olace pays for on your behalf count.
- Research with your own key: only the searches count, on every plan, whatever the model.
- On Local, the web search, page reads and cloud vision a local, paired, or BYOK turn uses on your behalf. Paid plans include these.
A Research run that gathered nothing costs nothing at all, and a run you stop after it gathered sources costs only what it used.

Unlimited Everyday chat means messages on an Everyday-class model never draw on your cloud usage on Pro and Founders Lifetime. Cloud Research, image generation and every other class still do.
The Starter Pack is one-time cloud usage for new Local accounts, valid for 60 days, with one free Research run, so you can try cloud features before deciding.
Refills are one-time top-ups for paid plans: the Plus refill, a month of Plus usage for $5, on Plus, Pro and Founders Lifetime, and the Pro refill, a month of Pro usage for $15, on Pro and Founders Lifetime. A refill never expires and sits on top of what your plan grants each month. Your monthly allowance is always spent first, so a refill is only drawn down once the month's allowance runs out.
Buy a refill wherever you are: in the desktop app under Settings › Billing, on the web at olace.app/buy?pack=credits_small, or, where the mobile apps offer it, inside iOS and Android, with the App Store or Google Play handling the purchase and showing the price in your own currency. It lands in the same account either way, so a refill bought on your phone is spent on your computer.
Trials and billing
Plus has a 14-day free trial, cancel any time. Local and paired AI stay free either way. Manage your subscription in the app under Settings › Billing, or at olace.app/billing. Subscriptions started in the App Store or Google Play are managed through the store.
If you go over a pairing cap after a downgrade, extra pairings are paused, not deleted; your most recently used pairings stay active, and upgrading reactivates the rest.
